Daintree Rainforest and the Bloomfield Road

This part of our journey was the most scenic to date. We left Palm Cove under brilliant sunshine and not far north found QLD’s answer to VIC’s great ocean road.

The ferry across the Daintree River

From the Daintree National Park looking South you can see the P&O Pacific Sun moored off the coast of port less Port Douglas.

At the look out there were chickens hiding out  that had escaped Mr Sanders at Ingham.

Cape Tribulation was a small headland viewing area and beach packed with tourists. Whilst here we experienced what happens when you park in ‘bus only parking’ – they park you in and bugger off for an hour! Understandable but we don’t fit in car spaces!

From too much water to none. One of the creek crossings in the Daintree NP.

The mighty Bloomfield River - with very little water? After we drove through the 2 mum’s in the background of the photo pushed their baby through in the stroller. Lucky I carried all my recovery gear for the dangerous river crossings!
